New Frontiers in Fluorescent Image Guided Surgery
This course is designed for surgeons, nursing staff, residents, and students across all specialties that are interested in learning to use near-infrared florescent imaging modalities when conducting surgical procedures of the gastrointestinal tract and endocrine organs. Fluorescent image guided surgery can be utilized while conducting colorectal, endocrine, bariatric, lymphatic, hepatobiliary, foregut, and oncologic surgery. It enables surgeons to visualize structures that are otherwise not visible to the human eye by utilizing white light alone either. Surgeons will become familiar using this technology with open and laparoscopic approaches.
