Abstract submission is NOW OPEN for the ISFGS EU Chapter Conference in Madrid
The two best abstracts will be selected for oral presentation during the main plenary session and will have the opportunity to win prizes for best abstracts. In addition, the manuscripts of all selected abstracts are encouraged to be submitted to the journal Surgery (the official journal of ISFGS) for expedited peer review.
Abstract submission instructions
Abstracts must be submitted in clear, and concise English, using complete sentences, correct grammar, and proper spelling. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts presented in poor English or request an immediate revision by the presenting author.
Word limit: 350 words
One table or image can be included (optional)
No more than 20 authors can be listed.
Abstracts must include email address, institutional affiliation, city, and country, for each author. For cooperative study groups, the group’s name should be used instead of individual institutional affiliations or include the group’s name in the abstract’s title. The presenting author should be identified.
The title of the abstract should be concise and accurately describe the study.
Do not use non-standard abbreviations or commercial names (generic names only).
Abstracts should be structured to include the following 4 sections
Background: introductory sentence specifying the purpose of the study
Material and methods: a brief description of relevant experimental procedures
Results: summary of the results of the investigation
Conclusion: a statement of the main conclusions

ALL ABSTRACTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED COMPLETING THE FOLLOWING FORM. ONLY MS WORD FILES ARE ALLOWED. DO NOT SUBMIT PDF FILES.
