Pre-Congress Workshop: Fluorescence-Guided Surgery in Oncologic GI Surgery
Held during ONCOGI 2026 – V Brazilian Congress of Digestive Cancer, this hands-on pre-congress course offers an immersive introduction to fluorescence-guided surgery (FGS) in oncologic procedures. Participants will explore the principles, technologies, and real-world applications of near-infrared fluorescence imaging, with a focus on improving precision and intraoperative decision-making in gastrointestinal cancer surgery.
The program combines expert-led lectures with practical training, covering tissue perfusion, lymphatic mapping, sentinel lymph nodes, tumor visualization, biliary anatomy, ureter identification, and future innovations such as AI-assisted imaging and targeted dyes. Attendees will also gain practical experience using advanced fluorescence platforms in simulated surgical models.
