Dr. Jorge Luis de León Rendón is a certified Colorectal Surgeon, graduated from the School of Medicine of the University Center for Health Sciences of the University of Guadalajara. Trained in the specialties in General Surgery and Coloproctology at the General Hospital of Mexico “Dr. Eduardo Liceagaâ€, endorsed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and certified by the Mexican Councils of General Surgery, A.C. and Specialists in Coloproctology, A.C. He has a medical specialty in Inflammatory Bowel Disease by the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition "Salvador Zubirán" with the endorsement of UNAM. He is certified in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery by the Hospital Juárez de México with the endorsement of the UNAM, in Anorectal Physiology and Posterior Pelvic Floor by the Anorectal Physiology Unit of the Coloproctology Service of the General Hospital of México “Dr. Eduardo Liceagaâ€, and in Management and Leadership in Health by the National Institute of Public Health of Mexico. He is studying a Master's degree in Medical Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico based in the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition "Salvador Zubirán". He has carried out training stays abroad (Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, Spain and St. Marks Hospital in London, England), under the guidance of international experts in the treatment of colorectal pathologies.

He is currently incorporated into the Coloproctology Service of the General Hospital of Mexico “Dr. Eduardo Liceagaâ€. He works in private medicine at the Digestive Health Specialized Center® (CESADI), a project that has a registered trademark and is under his direction. He is a Full Professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Universidad Anáhuac México, Associate Professor of the Diploma in Anorectal Physiology and Posterior Pelvic Floor, Coloproctology Service, Hospital General de México “Dr. Eduardo Liceagaâ€, UNAM. Professor of the Course of Research Methodology and Basic Statistics in Coloproctology of the Coloproctology Service, Hospital General de México “Dr. Eduardo Liceagaâ€. He is part of the 2021 – 2023 board of directors of the Mexican College of Specialists in Coloproctology as a member of the Scientific Committee of this collegiate body. Editor of the Mexican Journal of Colorectal Surgery (2021 – 2023).

He is a member of medical and scientific associations such as: the Mexican Association of General Surgery, A.C., Pan American Crohn's and Colitis Organization, Mexican Association of Gastroenterology, Crohn's Academic and Research Group and CUCI of Mexico, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and International Anal Neoplasia Society.
