Dr. Doussot is surgical oncologist specializing in the treatment of hepatopancreatobiliary cancers and
a liver transplant surgeon. He received his medical education at the University of Bourgogne-Franche
Comté and trained in general and digestive surgery at the University Hospital of Dijon. He trained as
a researcher and HPB surgeon at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, at
the Henri Mondor Hospital in Paris and at University Hospital of Besançon where he is now
appointed as a senior consultant since 2019.
On the clinical front, Dr. Doussot specializes in minimally-invasive and open approaches to resecting
benign and malignant tumors of the pancreas, liver and bile ducts. He is also involved in the
institutional liver transplantation program as a primary transplant surgeon. On the research front, his
PhD focused on the prognostic aspects after resection of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and he is
focused on improving outcomes after HPB surgery and refining the management of pancreatic and
