Dr. Banchini graduated as Medical Doctor in 1998 at Parma University in Italy. After the degree, he was an observer at Cabrini Medical Center (Mount Sinai Medical School affiliated) in New York in 1998. He started his residency in General Surgery in 1998 at the University of Parma. He spent part of his residency in Paris, intensifying his knowledge in colorectal surgery at the Saint Antoine hospital and hepatic and laparoscopic surgery at the Cochin Hospital. Since 2004 he has worked as a Surgeon at Guglielmo da Saliceto Hospital in Piacenza, Italy, where he deals with surgical oncology, particularly colorectal and liver surgery and emergency surgery. In 2010 he graduated from Paris University XI at Poul Brousse Hospital with a University Diploma in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He took a master of the latter at IGoMilsAccademy in laparoscopic liver surgery in 2017 and subsequently frequented the Heidelberg University Hospital (Germany) as an observer to advance his knowledge of pancreatic surgery. He is currently responsible for managing colorectal cancer patients and is the referent surgeon for oncologic surgery in his hospital. In recent years, he has deepened the study of 3D imaging in hepatic surgery and is the author of two demonstrative articles on its application in laparoscopic liver resection. He collaborated with the University of Parma as a contract professor. He is active in the publication of scientific articles stimulating this activity in the residents attending his hospital.
