I am currently in charge of the scientific works as a Director of a General Surgery Department at Hospital Fornaroli of Magenta (Milan)
Formerly i worked at Niguarda Hospital, a leading General Hospital in Milan that hosts all medical and surgical disciplines and tecnnologies, and clinical cases of high complexity.
I have developed particular expertise in the following surgical and clinical research activities: minimally invasive colorectal surgery for oncological and benign pathology. I have gained complete autonomy in the execution of complex interventions and I have collaborated in the introduction and development of new surgical technologies. I am daily involved in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of patients suffering from colon and rectum cancer. I actively take part in the multidisciplinary meetings with Oncologists, Radiotherapists and Radiologists. I have developed full autonomy and expertise in the execution of minimally invasive surgery and in the surgical approach to complex hernia cases using component separation techniques. I contributed to the introduction and development of new techniques and materials and to the development of surgical protocols for a combined approach on patients suffering from both severe obesity and ventral hernias and candidates for bariatric surgery.
