Prof. Dr. Kadir Koray Bas, MD, FACS, FEBS, SAGES
Professor of General Surgery & European Board Certified Endoscopist Surgeon
Professor K. Koray Bas graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine, one of the most prestigious internationally recognized medical faculties in Turkey. During his carrier, he has been professionally interested in all disciplines of general surgery by Minimally Invasive Surgical way as Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Robotic Surgery. And during his academic career, as an enthusiastic faculty member, he has been involved in the education of medical students as well as training in residency and fellowship programs.
In addition to his clinical and academic activities, he is personally interested in medical and surgical innovations such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Simulation-based Training Systems. He is also working with the medical industry for developing new surgical devices and equipment. He holds a European Board of Surgery in Minimally Invasive Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is an active member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
He used to work as a Full-time Clinical Professor and the Chair of the Department of General Surgery at Izmir Bakircay University Hospital, Turkey.
Prof. Dr. Kadir Koray Bas has recently moved to Dubai, with over 23 years of extensive professional experience. He held the Medical Director position, and has been continuing working on Non-Surgical/ Endo-Bariatric and Surgical Bariatric solutions for obesity as well as all kind of Advanced Minimally Invasive solutions and Surgical Oncology treatments at Enfield Royal Clinics and its partner hospitals in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
