Mohammed Shahait, M.B.B.S. is a Urologist specialized in cancer and robotic surgery in Clemenceau Medical Center-Dubai Health Care City.
Dr. Shahait received his medical degree from the Jordanian University of Science and Technology. He completed his residency at the Division of Urology and Kidney Transplant, at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), Beirut, Lebanon. After that, He completed a two years accredited fellowship in Endourology and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical center. Then, he completed a prestigious fellowship in advanced robotic oncology from University of Pennsylvania.
Afterward, he joined the surgery department at King Hussein cancer center in Amman, Jordan as a consultant of Uro-oncology and minimally invasive surgery. He was able to introduce a state of art procedures to Amman for the first time such as :Cryotherapy for kidney tumors, Extraperitoneal retroperitoneal lymph node dissection for testicular cancer, and Robotic surgery for kidney and prostate tumors.
His clinical interests include prostate cancer, Kidney cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer, benign enlargement of the prostate, nephrolithiasis, and minimally invasive procedures such as Robotic and Laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Shahait’s research focus is on the outcomes of patients undergoing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer and has published more than 40 peer reviewed articles. He is a sub-principal investigator for several outcome research projects to assess patients’ outcomes after Robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy. Also, he is reviewer and editor for several eminent Journals in the urology field.
